First comes the savior of my Aphrodite heart
1. One True Loves by Taylor Jenkins Reid
This is about Emma, a not-so-bookwormish girl, who continues developing throughout her story, and her two true loves- Jesse, her husband who was said to have died in an accident on their honeymoon, and her fiance Sam, who is also her friend/co-worker from high school. One day, a while after her engagement to Sam, her "dead" husband is said to be found on a remote island in the middle of an ocean, which complicates her life massively. This story talks about how one true love isn't a thing, and true love can happen many times, for true love means to love truly. I couldn't put it down and wow, I love Taylor Jenkins Reid and her writing style is immaculate.
Mature?- I remember there being a sex scene or two, but I don't read sex scenes because they make me uncomfortable.
Free?- Unfortunately, it is not. Buuut Taylor deserves the monies.
2. Happily Evan After : Fall For You book #1 by Fleur Smith
This is a cupid story, but with a twist- the Cupid is the one falling in love! Evan the cupid works hard to match his assignments with their soulmate so that he can gather up enough brownie points to get into heaven, but when he's assigned to Rebecca, she reminds him of a woman he once loved, and he finds himself falling for her for that reason, and more! Rebecca is conflicted about her emotions about Evan and the guy he matched her up with, but extremely happy in the rest of her life. Their story was wonderful to read, full of small and large moments and mutual respect for eachother.
Mature?- There was one sex scene. Otherwise, no, nothing more than kissing,
Free?- Yes, when I got it on Amazon, it was free.
3. Paralyzed Love by @softyhartz (on Wattpad)
This is about Ava, a girl struggling with anxiety related issues and Jesse, who's paralyzed from the waist down. The both of them have lost many things in life, but they plan on holding on to each other. This is a wonderful story, and it's unlike the other teenfic and romances I've read on Wattpad, and I've been on Wattpad for over a year. The portrayal of mental illness is so accurate, it almost makes me weep. And also, no matter what the author says, it's a good book for you to binge.
Mature?- Nope
Free?- Yes, this is not part of Paid Stories, I'm too broke to even consider reading a paid story.
Completed?- Yes.

4. Evie and Adams by @HiddenTruths20 (on Wattpad)
The story of Evie ElClaire, a rich girl who's not sure what, but thinks that something is missing in her life, and Roxie Adams, the girl from the next town over who makes Evie realise who she really is. This is LGBTQ if y'all didn't realise from the name of the main characters. And I loved this story, it was one of the first LGBTQ books I read on Wattpad, and it deserves everything it has achieved since then. A wonderful coming of age story about discovering your identity, E&A won't disappoint you. If it sounds like erotica from my description, it is not, it is just about Evie figuring out her sexuality and coming to terms with it.
Mature?- No
Free?- Yes
Completed?- Yes

Magic and myths and otherworlds and robots step into the land of
1. Basically anything written in the Riordanverse by Rick Riordan
He is an amazing, non-controversial author. Percy and Magnus are the most lovable protagonists ever. Annabeth and Rachel and Alex Fierro were the most perfecly imperfect love interests and the strongest characters I've ever had the pleasure of meeting, and TKC was kind of disappointing, to be honest, but a good series overall. I'd suggest you read The Kane Chronicles first, then get started with Percy Jackson and the Olympians, then Heroes of Olympus, then Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard, then Trials of Apollo. But yeah. Uncle Rick deserves all the hype in the world, and more.
Mature?- Nope. They're middle grade fiction.
Free?- Nope. But he deserves the monies so, so much.
2. Vampire Girl series by Karpov Kinrade
This husband wife duo kept me interested till the last words of the companion novels about the original main character's children. This is about a girl named Arianna Spero, whose mom was about to die, when the princes of hell (Inferna) come to talk to her about a deal her mother had made with their father, the literal devil. She has to choose a husband from the seven princes of hell if she wants her mom to live, with visiting privileges once a while. Her heart wants Fenris, the prince of war, but her mind says that Asher, the prince of pride would be the best king, but the prince of Lust, Dean, is no slouch on the throne either. With betrayals and plot twists scattered strategically throughout the books, this is a read of a lifetime.
Mature?- I remember there was one sex scene, or maybe two, in the entire series.
Free?- It was on Kindle Unlimited when I first read it, but I can't find it on KU anymore. So, maybe try your luck?
3. The Chord of Creation by @lralexander (on Wattpad)
Nadia is a dancer who gets admitted into the prestigious Laranger-Strauss School of the Arts. But, between the strange dreams she's been having about a temple where she can mould mud by dancing, and the people of the school who don't like her all that much, Nadia works hard to make a place for herself in the school. Alongside her, Sebastian Rosseau, a singer with a Platinum album that everyone in the school despises him for, works with his friends to find out what happened to the strange writer in the school who wanted to interview him while knowing small details about his life, but went missing one night, and Sebastian was the last one to see him- alive or dead. Basically, it's a really cool school vibe with some mystery and teen fiction elements. Approval and politics rage in this school. Read it, is all I can say, because the author is incredibly talented in their use of imagery, their writting style is incredibly beautiful, and you can see that they poured their heart and soul into their book.
Free?- Yes
Mature?- No
Completed?- No, but it's ongoing with regular updates.

4. The Moon Began to Glitch by @Yuri_Stelter (on Wattpad)
This is a short story about a cyborg, who is questioning the existence of reality itself, ever since the night that the moon began to glitch. The psychological and futuristic aspect of this story was very well done, and although I don't read much of sci-fi, this is easily one of my favourites, even though it doesn't have a romantic subplot, which is usually a requirement I have in the books I read.
Mature?- No
Free?- Yes, and it barely has 100 reads despite being posted ages ago. It deserves more love!
Completed?- Yes

Old times, good times, bad times and culture. Land into the land of
1. The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller
This book has a huge hype surrounding it, and it deserves all of it. It's a wonderful reimagining (or basically a narration) of the story of Achilles, from the perspective of his lover Patroclus. With wonderful lines and a lot of depth packed in the 300something pages of this book, it's a must-read if you're just as much as a Greek mythology nerd as I am. Even if you don't enjoy it as much as I did, you won't regret it.
Mature?- Yes, there's a sex scene
Free?- Nope, sorry peeps.
2. Don't Hold Your Breath Roar by @The-Grey-Lady (on Wattpad)
This story follows the path of a 18 year old Melissa Elene Athanasios she fights for equality in Ancient Greece over the course of 4 years. After the first bit of kindness shown to her by the son of a male her father invited in for business purposes, she ran away from home. This inspiring tale shows that one can do anything they wish if they put their minds to it. I found this book a delight to read, with pacing and the flow being perfect for me.
(I didn't write this, a friend of mine did, because self promo is okay for an extent but tooting my own horn is where I draw the line)
Mature?- No sexual content, but there's mature themes like abuse and mental health issues due to trauma discussed in the book
Free?- Yes
Completed?- No, it's ongoing with regular updates
And lastly, we move on to
1. Opposite of Always by Justin A. Reynolds
Jack gets a girlfriend after years of pining on his best friend (who's dating his other best friend) but she's sick. She dies, one day, and Justin finds himself grieving her. He then gets stuck in a loop of continuously reliving the months from the day he met her to the day she died. He lived through it again and again and again and learned important lessons about love, friendship, family and life. He learned that it doesn't matter how long you get to live alongside someone you love, it only matters that you got some amount of time with them. Just read this. You may or may not cry at the end. You might craugh. Dunno. But you'll enjoy it.
Mature?- No
Free?- Sorry, but, no
2. Someone Who Will Love You in All Your Damaged Glory by Raphael Bob-Waksberg
Ya know how strange Bojack Horseman is? This collection of short stories is exactly like that-strange little short stories with cute little morals. I liked it a lot. Give it a read, it's worth your time.
Mature?- No
Free?- Nope
3. Whirlwind by @softyhartz (on Wattpad)
Alyson Cox was content with her life when her ex, Ethan Richardson, came back into her life after two years apart. They clear up the air and the misunderstanding that caused them to separate, but then the question lingers- will they or won't they get back together? Will he stay, or will he leave again like a whirlwind?
I suggest you don't read this book late at night, for you will stay up for a few hours wondering what just happened to your life. Your mouth will stay agape, opening and closing as if you are a koi fish. But yeah, it's worth it. It's wonderful. And Jess is just... yeah. She deserves all the love she can get.
Mature?- No
Free?- Yes
Completed?- Yes
That's it, peeps, I'm done for today! I hope you like these recs, I'll do another one someday!
